New Harborough bus service launches 9 Nov

The Welland Wanderer

Wilbarston Parish Council has been leading a project to reinstate bus services following the withdrawal of the No.67 in May. We are delighted to confirm that, supported by funding from Kettering Borough Council and the Parish Councils on the route (including Cottingham and Middleton), Lawson’s of Corby has been contracted to provide a two morning a week bus service as follows:

Tuesdays to Market Harborough, leaving Cottingham around 9.30am and returning from Harborough at 12.30pm.

Fridays from Wilbarston to Corby, stopping in Cottingham just after 9.30am and returning from Corby around 12.30pm.

The bus has full disabled access and bus passes can be used.

Rutland Flyer RF1 (Corby to Oakham)

The RF1 (Corby to Oakham) bus service has been saved and will keep running for at least the next five years, following a change of heart by operator Centrebus which had initially wanted to pull out. The new contract started on 24 September 2018 and includes an additional stop at Corby Rail Station.
