We are now actively fundraising to see if we can get the Church clock going and chiming again.
The fundraising is being led by members of our bell ringing team, and the downsizing sale run by Mary Knott at the Village Store and Cafe in March 2024, together with other generous donations from villagers, has so far raised £603 for the Cottingham Church Clock Restoration Fund.
Initial investigations by clock professionals have shown that a working clock is within our grasp, so please do support the events we’re putting on to help raise the funds to make this happen. We’ll keep you posted on progress.
