Come along to Ant Licquorish’s Village Charity Quiz in aid of Jen’s Hedegehog Rescue, a small local charity in Great Oakley that is doing an amazing job rescuing and caring for our spiky friends. Every hedgehog costs between £5 and £10 a week to look after, and Jen has helped 142 hedgehogs this year alone, since they started coming in the the rescue in March.

The cost for the quiz is £10 each including food, which is fish, chicken or mushy peas and chips (vegetarian) with a sweet, or £5 each if you want to bring your own. There is no bar so please bring your own drinks.

For more information, please call Ant on 771062 or email him at ant_the_quizmaster@btinternet.com

Did you know? Hedgehog numbers have declined by around a third over the last 10 years and they are now an endangered species. In fact, the People’s Trust for Endangered Species (PTES) believes there are now fewer than a million hedgehogs left in the UK, down from an estimated 2 million in the mid 1990s and 36 million in the 1950s.
