Have you thought about joining a WI?
We are your local WI and below are some details about our group.
Our membership is limited to 40 and comes from Ashley, East Carlton, Cottingham, Middleton, Wilbarston, Great Oakley. We are the usual mixed bunch, but commonly enjoy each other’s company and are interested in expanding our horizons.
We meet monthly in Ashley Village Hall on Wednesdays at 7.30pm – except for December and January – and we have a general meeting that lasts about 20/25 mins and then our speaker or demonstrator at 8pm.
Our subs for the year starting in April are £48. – visitors are £5 for a session to include refreshments. For that, members have 11 monthly meetings, 8 WI Life magazines sent from National and access to the WI on-line Learning Hub. Northamptonshire County – our Federation – arrange walks, quizzes, speakers, trips, crafting sessions etc at much reduced rates.
For our members, we also have a Silly Social in January, just to start the year of with a little fun and try and arrange a social of some kind each month through the year. The ones we have arranged for this year are listed below along with our monthly meetings.
