Christmas morning service
The Parochial Church Council has made the difficult decision not to host the services that attract large crowds inside the Church this year. This decision was made thoughtfully and with the best intentions and interests of the community we want to keep safe, with an eye on the continuing threat from Covid.
However, as shown on this page, there are still plenty of Christmas events for you to get involved with in the villages.
The Church will also be open every day from 20-24 December, from 10am-4pm, so the community has access for the whole of Christmas week.
In the Benefice
A Benefice Advent Bible study group led by Mark Payne started on 28 November (Advent Sunday). Mark Payne and Mike Southwell are both licensed readers within the benefice.

Meet our new vicar, Reverend Amanda Oliver
Our new vicar, Amanda Oliver, recently completed her curacy (apprenticeship) at Yardley Hastings Benefice between Northampton and Wellingborough. She is married to Darren and has two daughters, Megan (who now lives in Northampton) and Helena.
“It is a privilege to have been called to your beautiful parishes and I am looking forward to getting to know you all,” says Amanda. “Although I can’t be in each church every week, I am never that far away. Do come and find us throughout the benefice. My prayers are with you all, and I am excited to begin this next chapter in the life of God’s church here in this place.”
Amanda is pictured here (on the right) with Mary Freestone. You can contact her on email rev.ajoliver@gmail.com
