Village badminton club open evening, Rockingham Village Hall, Fri 8 November, 7.30 to 9.30pm
If you’ve ever played badminton, why not dust off your racket and come and join the village badminton club? This small, friendly group get together to play badminton at Rockingham Village Hall on Friday evenings from 7:30 to 9:30pm, and they’re looking for new members. Remembrance Service, Village War Memorial, Sun 10 Nov, 10.45am
A joint remembrance service between St Mary Magdalene and the Methodist Church is being held at the War Memorial in front of the school to honour the men and women who gave their lives in the two World Wars and other conflicts. Everyone is welcome to attend.
Preservation Order, Village Hall Annex, Fri 22 Nov, 7pm
Five-piece band Preservation Order will be returning to the Village Hall Annex with their blend of acoustic blues, classic rock and more. Tickets are £6 from Audrey on 771084 and there’s a pay bar.
Valley Voice Choir, Rockingham Castle, Thur 29 Nov and Sun 1 Dec
The Valley Voice Choir will be singing at Rockingham Castle as part of their Victorian Christmas event, starting at 6pm on Thursday 29 November and at 4pm on Sunday 1 December.
Mill Christmas Bazaar and School Christmas Fair, Sat 30 November, 1 to 4pm
Everything you need for Christmas, Cottingham School’s Christmas Fair will be taking place in the school hall, raising money for the school, alongside a Christmas Bazaar, being organised by the ladies from the ‘Made in the Villages’ stall at the Village Hall Annex to raise money for The Mill project. Village walkabout, Wed 18 December, 2pm to 3pm
Villagers are invited to join Corby Borough Council’s Neighbourhood Wardens Karen Millsop and Brian Houston for a walkabout in the top half of Cottingham (Ripley Road/Bancroft etc). The idea is to take a look around the area and identify any concerns or issues that need addressing. Meet on the corner of Ripley and Rockingham Road at 2pm.
Valley Voice Choir, Carols round the pubs, Fri 20 Dec
The Valley Voice Choir will be visiting the pubs in Cottingham to spread some Christmas cheer. Come along and listen, get in the Christmas spirit and join in with all your favourite carols. Times and details to follow.
