Village Charity Quiz, Village Hall Annex, Sat 27 April, 6.30 for 7pm
The deadline for ordering food (fish, chicken or mushy peas and chips) for Ant Licquorish’s charity quiz in aid of EMICS is 12 April. The quiz costs £10 per person including food, or £5 if you want to bring your own. There’s no bar, so please bring your own drinks. Doors open at 6.30pm for a 7pm start. A meeting and exhibition is being planned to start progressing a Neighbourhood Plan for Cottingham. More information is coming soon, look out for a leaflet through your door.

Corby Outdoors Festival, 27 May to 2 June
This year’s festival kicks off with a free family fun day on Monday 27 May at East Carlton Country Park, from 12 noon to 4pm, in aid of Lakelands Hospice. The full programme, which will include running, walking and cycling, will be finalised by the end of April. For more information, contact Suzanne Preston on 01536 463177.

Village walkabout, Wed 18 September, 2pm to 3pm
Villagers are invited to join Corby Borough Council’s Neighbourhood Wardens Karen Millsop and Brian Houston for a walkabout in the centre and bottom half of Cottingham. The idea is to take a look around the area and identify any concerns or issues that need addressing. Meet at the Village Store and Cafe at 2pm.
