As you may be aware, there have been a spate of break-ins recently – at the Village Store, the Spread Eagle pub and the Naz Lounge in Middleton – which have been identified as part of a wider wave of burglaries at business premises across Corby. There have also been a few house break-ins and vehicle thefts in the villages, plus an assault on a horse and the daylight theft of a bottle of gin from the Village Store.

Our local PCSO Joe Devlin will be holding a Police Surgery at the Village Store on Wednesday 24 October from 10am to 11am if you would like to come along and chat with him about these or any other issues that are concerning you.

The Police have charged 39 year old Ross Laird in connection with burglary at a business premises in Lloyds Road, Corby and are hopeful of more positive results soon. Detective Inspector Wayne Preece is overseeing an operation combining resources from intelligence, crime and crime prevention to tackle these burglaries and bring the offenders to justice.

Don’t forget, if you see a crime in progress ring 999 or, for any other incidents, call the Police non-emergency number 101. You can also contact PCSO Joe Devlin on email Joseph.Devlin@northants.pnn.police.uk
