The Mill – Project update

Although some of the fundraising events for The Mill Community Hub Project have had to be postponed, you’ll be pleased to hear that the trustees are still fully focused on keeping the project on track.

They’ve recently appointed a Project Manager – GSS Architecture in Kettering – the architects that have been with the project since the start, who will be helping the project move towards the first phase of construction. They’ve also gained official recognition from the HMRC as a charity for tax purposes, so will now press ahead and set up Gift Aid and Just Giving schemes for people who’d like to donate directly.

The Village Fete planned for July has been postponed, but the team are hoping it can still take place later this year. The Copper Mile which was planned for Easter time will probably now take place next year, but please keep collecting your jars of coins – they won’t go to waste, and every penny counts!

In the meantime, Del Robertson is aiming to put together another Community Cookbook for Christmas so if you’ve got any more of your own recipe ideas knocking about, why not email them over to Del at delboy639@gmail.com?
