Pam King, 1938 to 2020

Pamela King (nee Jarman) sadly passed away earlier this year, on 28 April.

One of eight children, Pam was born and bred in Cottingham and used to live at The Cross in the centre of the village. She later lived in Berryfield Road with her husband Don, where they raised their two daughters, Mandy and Alison.

Pam attended the village school and was a regular at the village church and chapel. She worked at Cottingham Closers Shoe Factory on Rockingham Road (pictured right) and also spent 12 years as cook at The Spread Eagle pub, working for Geoff and Caroline Lambert.

She leaves her two daughters, 2 grandsons (David and James) and three great grandchildren.

Pam has been laid to rest in Cottingham Churchyard, next to her husband Don who passed away a couple of years ago.

The family would like to thank everyone for their kind messages and cards, and all the neighbours and friends who lined the streets to say goodbye.
