Cottingham Annual Parish Meeting

Cottingham residents are cordially invited to attend the 2023 Cottingham Annual Parish Meeting.
This is a relatively informal gathering that aims to bring villagers together to share news, hear from groups, organisations and individuals who are actively engaged with the community, and to reflect on accomplishments and experiences over the past year.
Parish Meetings in England date back to the Middle Ages, and this is the second time that Cottingham Parish Council has held one. A Parish Meeting is NOT a meeting of the Parish Council (Parish Councils didn’t exist until 1894), but the Local Government Act 1972 requires that Parish Meetings are convened and chaired by the Parish Council Chair.
