Tapestry, saxophone concert, St Mary Magdalene

18/04/2027 @ 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm

We are delighted to welcome saxophonist Samuel Beddard and pianist Jo Foote back to St Mary Magdalene Church for their new perfomance project TAPESTRY.

Presented as part of the church’s ‘Sunday Sessions’ concert series, TAPESTRY weaves together folk stories through a rich programme of music from across the globe, utilising a diverse range of different saxophones to explore a variety of cultural voices. For each venue, Samuel and Jo curate a unique programme centred around a specific theme to take the audience on a one-of-a-kind historical globetrotting adventure through music.

This is Samuel and Jo’s second recital tour, and many of you may have had the opportunity to hear their outstanding first concert, ‘What Shapes a Soul’ at teh church in August 2025.

Concert details

Doors open at 3pm for a glass of fizz and canapes, which are included in the £10 ticket price. The music starts at 3.20pm and will finish around 5pm, with a 20 minute interval.
