SUMMARY:Mobile flu jab clinic
DESCRIPTION:Thursfields Pharmacy will be holding a mobile flu jab clinic at 22 Bancroft Road\, Cottingham from 9.30am to 12.30pm\, and from 5.30pm to 7pm. \nThe flu jab is free for anyone aged 65 and over\, or if you are pregnant\, a carer or have a disability or chronic long-term condition (see the form linked below for a full list of criteria). \nFor anyone aged 50 to 64 in good health\, the flu jab costs £14.99\, which is now standard across England. The mobile clinic has a card machine to take payments\, and card payments are preferred please. However\, if you want to pay by cash\, please let Carol know (contact details below) in advance\, so the clinic can make sure they have sufficient change available. \nNo appointment is needed\, but if you’re planning to go along for the jab\, please text or WhatsApp Carol on 07711 545470\, so she can get an idea of numbers. \nPlease also download and complete the flu vaccination record form below and take it along with you. DESCRIPTION:Ant Licquorish’s 60th and final Village Charity Quiz will be in aid of NHS Charities Together\, which will also commemorate the 75th anniversary of the founding of the NHS. \nTickets are £10 per head including a supper of fish\, chicken or mushy peas and chips (vegetarian)\, or £5 if you’d prefer to bring your own food. \nThere is no bar\, so please bring your own drinks (including alchohol). Doors open at 6.30pm for a 7pm start. \nIf you would like to bring a team or two\, please contact Ant on ant_the_quizmaster@btinternet.com\, telephone 771062 with your food order as soon as possible\, and by 13 October at the latest. \nAlthough Ant is giving up running the village quizzes after this one\, he is still available to put together quizzes if anyone would like one to raise funds for any charity or cause. Ant will do the questions\, so long as you can take on the administrative side of things – booking the venue\, arranging food etc.
