DESCRIPTION:Cottingham & Middleton Parish Councils celebrate the Coronation of King Charles III\n  \n \nTo celebrate the Coronation of King Charles III\, our two villages are joining together. \nYou are Royally invited to The Big Lunch\n  \nPack your picnic – your favourite food & drink\, chairs\, picnic tables\, blankets\, gazebos etc. No BBQs please. \nDress up in suitable royal attire\, bring your friends and family and join us to celebrate the Coronation of our new King. \nThere will be lots going on including live music\, dancing\, ice creams plus lots more! \n  \nAll events are attended at your own risk and Cottingham PC and Middleton PC cannot be held liable for any accidents. \n  \n\nRing for the King  \nChurch bells have rung out for hundreds of years to mark significant events in our country’s history. \nIf you’d like to learn to ring and be part of the team Ringing for the King on the Coronation weekend\, the Welland Valley Bell Ringers are offering free training sessions at Ashley Church on Mondays and Wilbarston on Tuesdays. \nContact Andy Bimson on 07816 787639\, email bimsona@hotmail.co.uk.   \n\n

DESCRIPTION:Cottingham residents are cordially invited to attend the 2023 Cottingham Annual Parish Meeting. \nThis is a relatively informal gathering that aims to bring villagers together to share news\, hear from groups\, organisations and individuals who are actively engaged with the community\, and to reflect on accomplishments and experiences over the past year. \nParish Meetings in England date back to the Middle Ages\, and this is the second time that Cottingham Parish Council has held one. A Parish Meeting is NOT a meeting of the Parish Council (Parish Councils didn’t exist until 1894)\, but the Local Government Act 1972 requires that Parish Meetings are convened and chaired by the Parish Council Chair. \nWe look forward to seeing you there.
