DESCRIPTION:Villagers now have their final chance to comment on the Cottingham Neighbourhood Plan\, which has been prepared by Cottingham Parish Council with the help of the community and submitted to North Northamptonshire Council for publication. \nConsultation on the Plan runs from Friday 27 August to 5pm on Friday 8 October 2021. \nThe Plan sets out detailed local planning policies to help shape and guide development within the designated neighbourhood plan area for Cottingham\, which covers the whole of Cottingham Parish. \nPrevious consultation on the draft plan took place in November and December 2020\, which has helped shape the plan to this final version. \nThis final stage of consultation is different to the previous consultation\, because all comments should relate to whether the plan as submitted meets the “basic conditions” as set out within planning legislation. All comments received will be sent onto an independent Planning Inspector who will assess whether the plan has been prepared in accordance with the relevant Regulations. \nThe Neighbourhood Plan\, supporting documents and details of how to respond\, are available to view on the neighbourhood planning pages of the Council’s website. Hard copies are also available to view at Corby Library\, The Corby Cube\, Parkland Gateway\, George Street\, Corby\, Northamptonshire NN17 1QG during normal opening times. DESCRIPTION:Following the success of the Churchyard working parties last year\, the team at St Mary Magdalene Church is hosting another tidying event. Refreshments will be provided\, including hotdogs.\n \nPlease come along for as much or as little time as you can spare\, bringing any gardening equipment you can provide or would want to use. Our aim will be to continue with the incredible effort from last year\, recutting the grass in the fenced off area and moving around to tackle more of the overgrowth at the side of the church\, along with any other general tidying and maintenance required elsewhere.  \nThere will be something suitable for everyone to help with\, no matter age\, ability or skill. Or just pop up to say hello and encourage everyone\, if nothing else – it will be great to see you all. \nAnd\, if anyone wants to split their day by nipping down to the Macmillan Coffee Morning with the Cottingham Alpacas between 11am and 2pm\, please feel free. We are keen to make sure that both events are supported.

DESCRIPTION:Due to the success of The Mill’s first Attic Sale on 24 April\, which raised £1\,068\, the fundraising team are now organising another sale to take place on Saturday 26 June (12 noon to 2.30pm)\, again at the community orchard on Main Street\, Middleton. \nIf you have any bargains or pre-loved treasures you’d like to donate\, please contact Sarah Brant on sarah@themillhub.co.uk or George West-Robinson on george@themillhub.co.uk\, then you’ll be invited to come along and run a joint or stand-alone stall\, at no charge of course. All monies raised will go to The Mill. This is a great opportunity to get rid of unwanted items\, while raising money for a great cause and doing a much appreciated stint as a volunteer ‘Miller’. \nAs The Mill has no storage facilities\, contributors will need to take any unsold items back with them\, hopefully to be brought along to the next sale a couple of months later. \nAnd for those of you in search of a bargain\, pop the date in your diary. Nothing beats a touch of retail therapy\, so come on down and see what takes your fancy. We can only take cash\, so please come with a full wallet!
