DESCRIPTION:Thursfield’s Pharmacy are offering flu jabs from their mobile van at 22 Bancroft Road\, Cottingham again this year. \nThe jabs will be available from 11am to 1pm\, and from 5pm to 7pm. \nThe flu jab is free if you’re aged 65 or over\, or will turn 65 on or before 31 March 2025. It’s also free if you’re a carer\, are pregnant or have certain long term condiitions (see nhs.uk/vaccinations/flu-vaccine). \nIf you meet any of these criteria\, you’re also eligible for a free Covid jab\, which you can get from Thursfield’s mobile clinic at the same time. \nIf you don’t meet any of the above critera and are aged 50 to 64\, you can still get the flu jab\, for a cost of £19.99. \nFor more information\, contact Carol on 07711 545470

DESCRIPTION:Market Harborough’s Phoenix Saxophone Orchestra will be performing a joint fundraising summer concert at St Mary Magdalene Church in Cottingham on Saturday 31 August. \nThis nationally acclaimed orchestra plays a varied repertoire that ably demonstrates the versatility of the saxophone. From classical music\, jazz\, swing and big band favourites to modern pop and film music\, there’s something to appeal to all musical tastes. \nNominated for a national award by the Royal Philharmonic Society in 2021\, Phoenix Saxophone Orchestra features seven different types of saxophone\, from the sopranino to the contrabass sax\, and makes a truly rousing sound. \nTickets are £12 each (£6 for under 16s)\, to include a glass of Pimms and nibbles. DESCRIPTION:Fete guide advertising\nPlanning for the Village Fete on 13 July is well underway\, including preparation of the fete guide\, which is printed in June and delivered to every house in Cottingham\, Middleton\, Rockingham and East Carlton. \nThe guide also includes lots of adverts from local businesses to help cover the cost. If you run your own business or work for a firm you think would be happy to advertise in our guide\, a full page advert costs £80 and half pages are £45.
